Glory to the Father + and to the Son…
Lord, have mercy. [3×]
Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God, through the prayers of thy most pure Mother, of my holy guardian angel, of St. [your patron Saint], of St. [patron Saint of your parish], of St. [Saint of the day (pp. 1-33)], save me a sinner. + Amen.
[12] Conclusion
Stand silently for a moment. Then bow, venerate your icons, and depart.
This rule may be observed in the morning or the evening, whichever is most conducive to quiet and attentiveness. At the other time of day the Preparation through the Trisagion Prayers may be said (1-3), later expanding this (e.g., 1-3, 6, 8, 11, 12).
N.B. – The symbol “+” indicates that the sign of the cross should be made. “Prostration” indicates kneeling, leaning forward on the hands, and then bowing to touch the forehead to the ground. “Bow” indicates a low bow from the waist so as to be able to touch the ground (or as low as feasible). Both prostrations and bows are customarily preceded by making the sign of the cross (+). Page numbers refer to St. Tikhon’s Monastery Press’ Orthodox Christian Prayers.
